Recent & Upcoming Presentations

I've presented on a wide range of topics, including teaching strategies, Disney history, and theater at local, regional, and international conferences.

Last Spring, I've been researching the ways theatrical combat techniques influenced early depictions of violence in animated Disney films, such as Prince Phillip's battle with Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty (1959). I presented my findings at the 2025 PCA/ACA National Conference in New Orleans.

This Spring, I plan to expand my research on animated violence design and apply my theories to Capt Hook from Disney's 1953 Peter Pan.
