Arts in April Committee chair

Arts in April celebrates the art and artists of the NSCC community. Join us each April as we offer special arts-related events and programming! You can visit 2025's ​Arts in April website to get an idea of what we're about!

I am also honored to have been granted a sabbatical for the Fall 2025 semester in order to explore ways of making Arts in April even better for our community!
Along with Dr. Kara Kaufman, I am a co-founder of (LS)^2, otherwise known as the Liberal Arts Lecture Series. We hope the lectures provide a forum for NSCC liberal arts scholars to share their interests and research. As stated in our mission:

"The NSCC Liberal Arts Lecture Series - (LS)^2 for short - is designed to promote dialogue about topics relevant to the liberal arts disciplines. It is a forum for the exchange and dissemination of ideas, a place to celebrate faculty projects and research, and a way to reach out and share our work with both the NSCC family and the broader community of which the college is part."

We are currently working on a website to showcase upcoming lectures and provide a repository for videos of past lectures. Stay tuned for more info!
